Bamboo & Cork & Marmoleum Click
Cork floors are constructed from the outer bark of the Evergreen Cork Oak. The bark on the same tree can be harvested every nine years without damaging the tree in any way. The average cork tree can live for 150 to 200 years. This makes cork a renewable and sustainable resource in the flooring industry. Cork floors also provide thermal insulation, sound reduction and elasticity. | |
Bamboo floors can be constructed from either a horizontal or vertical cut in natural or carbonized tones. Strand bamboo is manufactured by taking strands of bamboo and fusing them together using heat, pressure and a non-toxic solution. This type of manufacturing process helps reduce waste as well as produce a floor where the coloration runs completely through the entire plank. Teragren also offers floating bamboo floors that can be installed without glue, as well as a wide plank, handscraped collection.
